I learned my yoga
experience from my native India in
Kerala. At my early age, I was driven
with strong desire to explore the life of
Yoga with theory and practice. It is a
combination of breathing exercises' physical
postures, and meditation that has been
practiced for more than 5000 years.
Yoga is believed to calm
the nervous system and balance the body,
mind, and spirits. It is thought by its
practitioners to prevent specific diseases
and maladies by keeping the energy meridians
open and life energy flowing.
Yoga has been used to
lower blood pressure, reduce stress and
improve coordination, sleep and digestion.
It is also been used a supplementary therapy
as alternative medicine.
My Yoga practice refers
to traditional physical and mental
disciplines origination in India, to the
goal achieved by those disciplines, and one
of the six orthodox (astika) schools of
Hindu philosophy.
